TO-822

A medium-sized header for higher power devices.
About the header

TO-822 is increased in size modification of TO-8 header. TO-822 header is good solution for applications where standard TO-8 header’s area is not sufficient.

The material of TO-822 header is usually Kovar or CRS coated with nickel and gold for base and pins. Ferrotec-RMT offers thermoelectric sub-assemblies on TO-822 header with 12 or 14 pins.  The header mounting surface is typically 12.0×12.0 mm2, which is enough for a wide range of TECs. Ferrotec-RMT offers different solutions with single-stage and multistage TECs. TO-822 is also good solution for typical pyramidal multistage TECs, especially three and four-stage types, where bottom (hot side) ceramics may be significantly larger then top.
