The basic material of the PS-28 type enclosure is usually nickel and gold plated Kovar. Ferrotec-RMT manufactures thermoelectric assemblies for PS-28 packages with 28 pins. The package pins can be standard (cylindrical shape) or with flattened ends or nail shape to simplify wire bonding.
Below are examples of solutions with thermoelectric coolers mounted on PS-28 packages. The full list of possible solutions is larger. The PS-28 package is suitable for any thermoelectric cooler with hot side dimensions up to 18x35 mm2.
