TO-66
The TO-66 header is a common alternative to the TO-8 header, frequently used in laser and photodetector applications.About the header
The material of TO-66 header is usually CRS or Kovar coated with nickel and gold for base and pins. The number of pins is up to 9 (usually 6 or 9 pins). Header version with 9 pins is standard and mostly requested. Other types available by request. The mounting surface area of the TO-66 header varies depending on the dimensional modifications.
The standard mounting surface is typically 7.0 x 7.0 mm², sufficient for mounting a wide range of TECs without contacting the pin insulation. Ferrotec-RMT offers different solutions with single-stage and multistage TECs.
