Due to the broad nomenclature of the TE cooler types (totally about 900 standard thermoelectric coolers) each type cannot be possibly tested. As the manufacturing technology and the applied materials are the same for each thermoelectric cooler in a series, the selected range of TE coolers from each standard series has been tested. The Series of thermoelectric coolers is qualified by pattern similarity.

Totally more than 500 TECs were exposed to the life tests during more than 170 000 device-hours of operation. More than 100 thermoelectric coolers were exposed to the mechanical tests. The results of the finished qualification testing program 2010 confirm that thermoelectric coolers, produced by RMT company, completely meet the reliability requirements for thermoelectric coolers in laser and optoelectronic applications, established by Telcordia GR-468-CORE Standard.
