We select the ideal substrate to meet your specific requirements for transmission, strength and environmental resistance. Our expertise encompasses a wide range of materials, including:

·         Germanium (Ge)
Ideal for high-performance thermal imaging, Germanium offers excellent transmission in the critical mid-wave to long-wave infrared (MWIR to LWIR, 2-14 µm) spectrum. Its primary application is in thermal cameras, night vision and gas detection systems. To maximize its performance, we apply specialized anti-reflective (AR) coatings to counter its high refractive index. Note that its transmission decreases at elevated temperatures.

·         Silicon (Si)
A cost-effective and reliable material for the MWIR range (1-7 µm), Silicon is widely used in commercial thermal imaging and IR sensors. It benefits from scalable manufacturing and good mechanical strength. We enhance its inherent transmission with custom AR coatings, delivering high performance at an optimized value.

·         Sapphire (Al₂O₃)
The ultimate solution for extreme environments, Sapphire combines remarkable hardness, chemical inertness and high-temperature stability. Transmitting from the UV to the mid-IR (0.15-5 µm), it is the material of choice for demanding aerospace and industrial applications where unmatched durability is required.

·         Beryllium (Be)
The optimal material for high-energy applications, Beryllium offers an unmatched combination of lightweight strength and superior X-ray transparency. Composed of high-purity material, these windows efficiently transmit X-rays while maintaining structural integrity under high pressure and temperature. Their exceptional robustness and precision also make them ideal for advanced scientific instruments where exact X-ray control is paramount.
